About Us

Wholesome...Holtzem....get it?  We thought it was funny anyway.  Chris (Dad) and I met as children, we went to the same church.  We were long distance high school sweethearts, and got married when we were 22. I went to culinary school and he got his music education degree. 
 

We moved to Arizona for his first teaching job and had two children there, Brooklyn who is 9, and Bennett who is 6. During that time I stopped working as a pastry chef to stay home with the kids. We then moved to his next teaching opportunity in Centennial, Colorado. We moved into a fixer upper, had our third baby Samuel (2) and our 4th, Aiden, who is just a few months old.

We love reading in our house and the podcast started as something for our kids to listen to because we couldn't find books we liked for them to go to sleep to.  I (Mom) homeschool our kiddos and draw in my free time.  We love doing DIY projects in our fixer-upper!  We hope you enjoy the podcast and this site where we share things about our life like our favorite recipes and a whole lot more!
